Terms of Service — SkillSafe

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SkillSafe ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SkillSafe is a secured skill registry for AI coding tools. The Service allows users to publish, discover, install, and verify skills with security scanning and content integrity verification.

3. Accounts

You may sign in using Google authentication or API keys. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent rate limits, bans, or other restrictions.

4. Publishing Skills

When you publish a skill to SkillSafe, you represent and warrant that:

You have the right to publish the content
The skill does not contain malicious code, malware, or intentional vulnerabilities
The skill does not violate any applicable law or regulation
The skill does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others

You retain ownership of skills you publish. By publishing, you grant SkillSafe a license to host, store, distribute, and display your skill as part of the registry service.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

Publish skills containing malware, backdoors, or code designed to harm users
Attempt to circumvent the security scanning or verification system
Abuse the API through excessive requests beyond documented rate limits
Impersonate other publishers or misrepresent skill authorship
Use the Service to distribute content that violates applicable law
Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure

6. Security Scanning

SkillSafe performs automated security scans on published skills using a dual-side verification model. Scan results (verdicts) are provided on an "as-is" basis. A passing scan verdict does not guarantee that a skill is free of all vulnerabilities or malicious content. Users should exercise their own judgment when installing skills.

7. Availability and Modifications

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, but provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property rights and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SkillSafe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Intellectual Property

The SkillSafe name, logo, and branding are our property. Skills published to the registry remain the intellectual property of their respective authors. The Service software and infrastructure are proprietary.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
